October 19, 2006:       Ghost tour - Historic Roswell

Members and several spouses and friends gathered on October 19 for a chilling (though very warm!) evening of tales from the spooky side of Roswell! We did get a little wet in the rain, but it was well worth it to learn not only stories of Roswell's hauntings but quite a bit of interesting history about Roswell and Barrington King, the mill that employed most of the town, and even Bulloch Hall.  Information on Roswell Ghost Tour:  http://www.roswellghosttour.com

 

 

September 18, 2007:       Night out at El Porton

Dinner and Drinks on the patio at El Porton on Alpharetta Hwy.  It was a laid-back atmosphere in which to meet new club members and catch up with those we haven't seen over the summer. Eight people attended, including two prospective members!

       

                                

 

 

 

October

Saturday, 10/13 at 6 p.m.  Adult-only Fall Party at Gina LaMonte's house.  This is for club members and their significant or insignificant other.  Everyone needs to sign-up to bring either a main dish, side dish, or dessert.  You will also need to bring your own chairs and any adult beverages you want to consume.  Provided will be ice, sodas, water, and paper goods.

 

November

Date TBA.  We will meet on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and to tour the Alpharetta Woman's Club Christmas Homes.  More information will be given about restaurant when dates are announced.

 

December

Tuesday, 12/11 at 7 p.m.  Christmas Banquet.  This will replace our December meeting and will be at a local restaurant.  Cost and menu details will be given at the October meeting.  Be sure to bring your checkbook to the meeting because we require payment up front and it is non-refundable.

 

January

Wednesday, 1/23.  Dinner and a Movie.  Details TBA when we know what movies will be playing.  The theater will be in the North Point area.

 

February

Thursday, 2/21 at 7 p.m. Jewelry-making night at Rochelle Nation's house.  Participants will get to make a piece of jewelry either a bracelet or necklace.   You'll sign up to bring appetizers, dessert, or wine.  Cost depends on what you decide to make.

 

March

April

Saturday, 4/26 at 7:30 p.m..  Member + 1 bowling night.  Dust off your bowling ball and shoes and come out for a night of good, old-fashioned fun.  Place TBA.

 

May

Tuesday, 5/13.  6:30 p.m. drinks, 7 p.m. banquet.  Last meeting of year to celebrate all we've accomplished and to hand out awards.  Cost, menu, and place TBA.
