Our Club and Members

Roswell Junior Woman's Club encourages community involvement, education and social interaction among its members. We are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.

RJWC accomplishes its work through six departments, which focus on Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, Public Affairs and International Affairs. Through these departments we address issues such as:

Accomplishments

The Roswell Junior Woman's Club annual fundraiser, the Colors Festival of Arts, brings art, entertainment, food and activities to the Roswell Square for a springtime celebration of our city and all our area has to offer. The event is held each year on Mother's Day weekend and raises more than $20,000 for our club.

In the past, RJWC has coordinated an award-winning Designated Driver Campaign with local restaurants during the December Holiday Season. Since the inception of this program, Roswell saw a decrease in the number of arrests due to drunk driving during this program.

In 2001 Roswell Junior Woman's Club began coordinating the Mimosa Elementary Book Fair. Our first book fair raised more than 900 books, enabling each student to take home a book of their own, as well as giving a generous supply of books to the school library. And each spring RJWC awards a female high school student with a $2,000 college scholarship.
